Inauguration of the Linear Sculpture Park (Parque Escultórico Linear)
A 5 km route leads to the celebration of the first open air art gallery in Itu. Called the Linear Sculpture Park (Parque Escultórico Linear), the huge collection of works (in size and importance) spread along the Galileu Bicudo avenue will take the city’s outdoor fair tradition to another level.
A partnership between the FAMA Museum (Marcos Amaro Art Factory) and the Gilberto Salvador Foundation – an artist also present at the exhibition, the opening of the Park marks the inauguration of Caminharte, a collective walk promoted by the municipal secretary for Sports and Culture for those who want to move their bodies and, in the bargain, get to know details of the works of art.
In this edition, the public is also invited to view the acclaimed performance Candango (2010), of the EmpreZa Group, an artistic group from Goiás that has already integrated international exhibitions and major museums in the country.
